Charlotte V. O. Witvliet is a Senior Scholar for Character, Mental Health, and Flourishing with the Belmont Formation Collaborative at Belmont University, where she also holds a professorship in clinical psychology and character formation. She is a scientist-practitioner clinical psychologist who trained at Purdue University and spent 28 years at Hope College before joining Belmont. Her research examines the emotional and physiological dimensions of forgiveness, accountability, gratitude, and hope, with support from the John Templeton Foundation and the Fetzer Institute.
