This study investigates how childhood experiences, personal traits, and social environments shape a person’s orientation to promote good in adulthood. Using data from 200,000 individuals across 22 countries, we assess 16 childhood predictors and examine how their influence varies by cultural context. Our goal is to uncover early-life factors that encourage prosocial values later in life. Findings will inform efforts to foster well-being and civic-mindedness through early intervention.
