Transformative Religious Experience

‘Transformative religious experiences’ are common and typically do not decline between generations, even in rapidly secularization societies. However, they are higher in age-groups that experienced democratization movements in which religion played a central role, such as the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and democracy movements in Hong Kong.
