Belief in God

Prior research documents evidence of associations between belief in God and health and well-being, with most of the evidence based on data from Western contexts. However, less is known about how the various instantiations of Belief in God (belief in one God, multiple gods, or spiritual forces) and how they might differ across cultures and across demographic groups within those different cultures. Our work will illuminate the distributions and descriptive statistics of Belief in God across these demographic features, offer insight into country-specific variations in Belief in God, and lay a valuable foundation for future investigations into sociocultural influences that might shape various measures of Belief in God.
